Growing EU trade of electric & hybrid cars – Actualités

Between 2017 and 2023, EU commerce of electrical and hybrid vehicles elevated considerably. Alternatively, each imports and exports of full electrical vehicles continued to extend (+5.7 pp and +1.6 pp, respectively).

By way of worth, in 2023, the EU spent €48.3 billion on imports from extra-EU nations on hybrid and electrical vehicles, a rise of 31%, in contrast with 2022 (€37.0 billion). Imports of full electrical vehicles have been value €22.7 billion, adopted by non-plug-in hybrid vehicles (€16.3 billion) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (€9.3 billion).
