Could 26, 2025 21:38 (JST)

Yokosuka, Kanagawa Pref., Could 26 (Jiji Press)–Nissan Motor Co. unveiled to the press Monday an up to date model of its e-Energy hybrid car know-how, which the struggling automaker expects to develop into a serious supply of earnings.

The third era e-Energy know-how might be on car fashions to be launched in Europe within the second half of fiscal 2025 and in North America and Japan in fiscal 2026.

It guarantees improved gasoline effectivity and calmness, with gasoline mileage up by a median of 9 pct and by 15 pct for driving on expressways.

Fashions geared up with the brand new know-how can have cruising ranges and gasoline economies “similar to prime fashions from our opponents,” stated Nissan Chief Expertise Officer Eiichi Akashi.

The e-Energy system runs on a motor powered by electrical energy generated by a gasoline engine. It affords the quietness of an electrical car whereas enabling customers to refuel at gasoline stations.
