The electrical sports activities automobile previously often called the SC-01 (see specs) has been rebranded because the JMEV 01 and was just lately seen testing in Guangzhou, China. Powered by twin synchronous everlasting magnet motors from Empower, the JMEV 01 delivers 320 kW (429 hp) and reaches a prime pace of 200 km/h. The automobile reportedly recorded a 1:06 lap time at Beijing’s Goldenport Park Circuit, much like the Porsche 992 Carrera S.

The JMEV 01 contains a mid-mounted ternary NMC battery from CALB, although its precise capability stays undisclosed. The structure balances weight distribution, comparable to that of mid-engine sports activities automobiles just like the Lotus Elise and Toyota MR2. It helps front-wheel, rear-wheel, four-wheel drive modes, and a sport mode. The CLTC-rated vary is 520 km, with a charging time of beneath 25 minutes from 30% to 80%.

Initially unveiled in September 2022, the SC-01 has undergone important modifications. China’s Ministry of Trade and Info Expertise itemizing confirms its integration into the JMEV model, a three way partnership between Jiangling Motors Company (JMC) and Renault.
